Leadership Staff

Gordon Slyter serves as our Lead Pastor, a man committed to a balanced teaching of the Bible, with intentional openness to the leading and ministry of the Holy Spirit. He loves connecting with people - new friends and long-time church family members.  He loves helping people discover and grow into their God-given life potential, and he’s passionate about raising up new servant-leaders. 

Gordon also serves our Foursquare family of churches as the Treasure Valley Division superintendent which gives him the privilege of connecting with our other churches throughout SW Idaho.

Idaho-grown, Gordon has a B.S. in Economics from the U. of I. After two years in banking, he left for California to earn an M.Div. in preparation for pastoral ministry.  Pastoring is his passion and privilege, and it’s his great pleasure to serve our church family here at TVWC!

as our Assistant Pastor, Jodi Slyter has served in children’s, youth, women’s, and prayer team ministries, as well as church events and operations.

Jodi also started our King’s Kids Preschool and Kindergarten which served children in our community from 1998-2020. Her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Education and Education Admin. have equipped her to serve as a teacher, principal, and administrator throughout her career.

Gordon and Jodi enjoy camping and kayaking in the great state of Idaho. They have three grown children, A daughter-in-law, along with grandchildren.

Our Youth Pastor, Galen Caldwell, loves sharing his faith in Jesus with the young

men and women of tomorrow. His vision for the next generation has always been

“building a faith that lasts.” He also loves to work with kids to develop

leadership skills as they serve in the youth group and in the church.

Originally from Grants Pass, OR, Galen attended Pacific Life Bible College in

Vancouver, B.C. Besides teaching and mentoring, Galen can be found

longboarding, playing disc golf, and freelancing in graphic design.

rylee has been an integral part of TVWC while supporting Pastor Galen’s

ministry. Rylee is also a devoted mother, a talented vocalist, guitar player, and

worship leader, having served in numerous church ministry and administrative

capacities over the years.
